In an effort to learn more about accessibility and how to better frame my action research I decided that I wanted to meet with individual ATI committee members in hopes of gaining a further understanding on how to phrase my research question and how I could best affect change.
My first meeting was with the campus web supervisor. I wanted to see what his experience with requests for accessible material. We spoke a lot about last minute faculty requests that come in because a specific student will be enrolled in the course. While he primarily deals with web accessibility it is not uncommon for him to be asked to help when needed.
I don't know when I will be speaking with him next except perhaps when it comes to syllabi for online courses. One meeting down, another one on the 15th.
